And He it is Who made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 78 And He it is who has caused you to multiply on earth; and unto Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said. 81 They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed? 82 We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" 85 Say: "Then who is the Lord of the seven skies? And who is the Lord of the mighty Throne?" 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?" 89 Nay, We have conveyed unto them the truth: and yet, behold, they are intent on lying [to themselves]! 90 Allah hath not betaken to Himself any son, and there is not along Him any god; else each god would have gone off with that which he had created, and one of them would have exalted himself above the others. Hallowed be Allah above that which they ascribe! 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92
