And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
