Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
