The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
