The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. Those are the signs of the Koran and a Manifest Book, 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 Such are those for whom there is an evil punishment, and in the Everlasting Life are the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds. 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said: 'This is plain sorcery.' 13 And they gainsaid them, out of spite and arrogance, although their souls were convinced thereof. So behold! what hath been the end of the corruptors. 14
