The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
