He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 you attended to him, 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and in awe [of God] 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 These verses are a reminder 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
