And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 69 When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They said: we worship idols, and we are unto them ever devoted 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 "Or do you good or harm?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. 77 He created me and He will guide me. 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 and, whenever I am sick, heals me, 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 "And who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the day of Judgment. 82 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, 83 give me a good name among later generations; 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided; 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 The day when wealth and sons avail not (any man) 88 But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." 89 On the Day of Judgment Paradise will be brought near the pious 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the Fire headlong, one upon another, 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 "'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 And none but the guilty led us astray; 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 If we could only return to the world and be among the believers." 102 Surely, in that there is a sign, yet most of them do not believe. 103 Surely, Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104
