In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
