On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged. 111 Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do. 112 There came to them a messenger from among themselves, but they rejected him as false, so punishment overtook them, as they were wrongdoers. 113 So eat of what God has provided you lawful and good; and be you thankful for the blessing of God, if it be Him that you serve. 114 These things only He has forbidden you: carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been hallowed to other than God. Yet whoso is constrained, not desiring nor transgressing, God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 115 Hence, do not utter falsehoods by letting your tongues determine [at your own discretion,] "This is lawful and that is forbidden", thus attributing your own lying inventions to God: for, behold, they who attribute their own lying inventions to God will never attain to a happy state! 116 Brief is their enjoyment of the world, and thereafter they shall suffer a painful chastisement. 117 And unto those who are Jews, We have forbidden such things as We have mentioned to you (O Muhammad SAW) before [in Surat-Al-An'am, (The Cattle), see Verse 6:146]. And We wronged them not, but they used to wrong themselves. 118 To those who do wrong out of ignorance, then repent and correct themselves, your Lord is indeed forgiving and kind. 119
