Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
