The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in towering columns. 9
