T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
