Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
