The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and serried acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 and fruits abounding 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
