And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
