۞ But who does greater evil than he who lies against God and cries lies to the very truth, when it comes to him? Is there not in Gehenna a lodging for the unbelievers? 32 And he who has come with the very truth and confirms it, those they are the godfearing. 33 For them is whatever they wish, before their Lord; this is the reward of the virtuous. 34 God will efface their worst deeds from their record and give them their reward in accordance with the best of their actions. 35 Will not Allah defend His slave? Yet they would frighten thee with those beside Him. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 36 but he whom God guides cannot be led astray by anyone. Is God not mighty and capable of retribution? 37 And wert thou to ask them: who hath created the heavens and the earth? they will surely say: Allah. Say thou: bethink ye then that those whom ye call upon beside Allah, could they if Allah intended some hurt for me, remove His hurt? or if He intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His mercy? Say thou: enough for me is Allah; in Him the trusting put their trust. 38 Say, "My people, do whatever is in your power -- and so will I. Soon you shall come to know 39 “To whom will come a punishment that will disgrace, and upon whom descends the punishment that never ends.” 40 BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed upon thee this divine writ, setting forth the truth for [the benefit of all] mankind. And whoever chooses to be guided [thereby,] does so for his own good, and whoever chooses to go astray, goes but astray to his own hurt; and thou hast not the power to determine their fate. 41
