۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 They can only return to hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
