The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and its brightness 1 And by oath of the moon when it follows the sun 2 by the day, when it displays it, 3 By the Night as it conceals it; 4 By the heaven and That which built it 5 And the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 The soul and how it was integrated 7 and imbued it with (the consciousness of) its evil and its piety: 8 prosperous is he who purified it, 9 And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. 10 Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy, 11 What time the greatest wretch of them rose up. 12 And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
