Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in columns outstretched. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
