1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
