1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
