Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 Devils divert men from the [right] way, while they think that they are rightly guided. 37 Until when he comes before Us he will say (to the devil): "Would to God there was a distance of the East and West between you and me, for you were an evil companion!" 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 Hold thou fast wherefore to that which is revealed unto thee: verily thou art on the straight path. 43 it is certainly a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be called to account. 44 Ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you, "Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent One?" 45
