T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
