He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify 33 And much remember Thee. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
