Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
