T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
