No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
