Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
