Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
