Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
