Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 Unto those [earlier] communities - some of whose stories We [now] relate unto thee - there had indeed come apostles of their own with all evidence of the truth; but they would not believe in anything to which they had once given the lie: thus it is that God seals the hearts of those who deny the truth; 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 He said: if thou hast brought a sign, forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 106 So he cast his staff; and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 107 Then he uncovered his hand and it appeared sheer white to the onlookers. 108
