Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
