The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the breath of morning 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
