Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
