By the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
