SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
