The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who give charity, 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 these are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
