Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
