Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 Who turns away the orphan, 2 And urges not the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor), 3 Woe, then, to those who pray, 4 [But] who are heedless of their prayer - 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And who withholds even common necessaries. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
