۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- 25 and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. 26 Upon that Day the harmdoer shall bite his hands, and say: 'Would that I had taken a Path with the Messenger! 27 Would that I had never chosen so and so for my companion! 28 He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 To every Prophet We have appointed an enemy among the harmdoers; your Lord is Sufficient for you, a Guide and a Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. 32 And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner, 33 Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. 34
