Al-Hummazah
The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
