Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 'AeenSeenQaaf 2 (Muhammad), this is how God, the Majestic and All-wise, sends revelations to you and sent them to those who lived before you. 3 To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; and He is the All-high, the All-glorious. 4 The heavens wellnigh are rent above them, when the angels proclaim the praise of their Lord, and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Surely God -- He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate. 5 And [as for] those who take protectors besides Him, God is watching them and you are not a guardian over them. 6 And thus have We revealed to you an Arabic Quran, that you may warn the mother city and those around it, and that you may give warning of the day of gathering together wherein is no doubt; a party shall be in the garden and (another) party in the burning fire. 7 Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper. 8 Or have they taken to themselves guardians other than Him? But Allah, He is the Guardian. He revives the dead and has power over all things. 9
