The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
