And recall when Moosa said to his assistant, “I will not give up until I reach the place where the two seas meet or until I have progressed for ages.” 60 But when they reached the junction between the two [seas,] they forgot all about their fish, and it took its way into the sea and disappeared from sight. 61 Moses asked his young companion when they crossed this point, "Bring us our food; the journey has made us tired." 62 He said: lookest thou! when we betook ourselves to the rock, then I forgot the fish; and naught but the Satan made me forget to mention it, and it took its way into the sea - a marvel! 63 [Moses] said, "That is what we were seeking." So they returned, following their footprints. 64 Then they found one from among Our servants whom We had granted mercy from Us and whom We had taught knowledge from Ourselves. 65 Moses said to him, "May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?" 66 He replied, "You will not be able to have patience with me. 67 "How can you bear that which is beyond your comprehension?" 68 Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." 69 He said: "Well, if you follow me, do not ask me concerning anything until I myself mention it to you." 70
