Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
