No, by the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
