O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
