The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this book is a guide for the pious; 2 Who believe in the Unknown and fulfil their devotional obligations, and spend in charity of what We have given them; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 they are the people who are rightly following their Lord and it is they who shall be successful. 5 Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. 6 Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). 7
