Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
